Hello Friends!  Thanks you so much for stopping by for the February Creative Inking Blog Hop!  Our theme for this month is an Easter Bunny Hop!  How fun! I had so many ideas in my head!  I looked on Pinterest and found some really cute paper crafting ideas for a bunny.  I decided to use the French Fry Box to make a cute candy holder with a bunny face.

Isn't she the sweetest?  I love her face and the cute Daffodil Delight bow just completes her feminine look! Instead of buying pricey shred, I just used my trimmer to cut thin strips of Pink Pirouette cardstock and scrunched it up in my hands before placing it in the fry box.  I channeled my inner Sue Campfield and used my punches to create her cute face! I hope Sue doesn't mind me channeling her!

 

Look at the Honeycomb Embellishment on her tushie!!! My favorite part! It makes me smile!

January Creative Inking Blog Hop

Welcome to the January Creative Inking Blog Hop! I'm so glad you stopped by! This month's theme is "Love is All Around."So, of course, I made a Valentine's Day card for my hubby, Ken.  I wanted to make a pretty, but kind of masculine card that packed a punch on the inside. I used a blast from the past and created an explosion card.  I used a piece of DSP from the Love Blossoms Paper Pack.  All the paper in the stack is measured at 6 x 6.  The key to making an explosion card is using a squared piece of paper and a bone folder so your creases are nice and defined. 

The outside of my card is very simple.  The colors are Rose Red and Crumb Cake.  I used the Bloomin' Love stamp set. The polka dots were made by dipping the eraser end of a pencil in Rose Red ink. I added some Pearl Basic Pearls to add a finishing touch.

I used the Sweetheart Paper Punch along with the sweet little heart included in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. I think it's a simple card, but it says everything I want it to!

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop!

 

Welcome friends!  Thank you so much for visiting us for the November Creative Inking Blog Hop!  Our theme for this month is Terrific Techniques!  I decided to do the shaving cream technique.  I used my largest acrylic block as my palette.  I began by squirting a heavy layer of shaving cream onto my block.

 

I then picked out some complementary reinkers.  I chose Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay.  I placed 6-8 drops of the reinker randomly onto the shaving cream.  I ran a wooden skewer through the cream and the drops of ink.  I was careful not to mix it to much because the colors would become muddy.

    
The next step was to smoosh, (like my technical term), a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock into the inky foam mixture.

 
After smooshing the paper, I carefully pulled it off the foam and cleaned it off with paper towels.

     

And this is the result.  Isn't that cool?  It reminds me of marbling with oil colors that float on the top of water.

 This is the card I made with my paper.

I like how bright this card is!  The silver glimmer paper makes it a little more fancy!

Thank you all for joining us for the October Creative Inking Blog Hop!  I'm so glad you could stop by!  This month's theme is Christmas Joy.  I decided to use the darling set called Christmas Cuties.  The little image of the child in the snowsuit reminds me of my daughter when she was young.  She wore so many layers it was almost impossible for her to walk!

 

                                                              

I decided to paper piece the snowsuit with the Brights Paper Pack polka dot paper. Love it! It's so happy! Especially with the Daffodil Delight scarf that I also paper pieced. I water colored the background with Sky Blue ink and my aqua painter. The snow balls were made with the 1 1/2 in punch and the Circle Framelit Dies.  My favorite piece of this card is the huge douse of Dazzling Diamonds!

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop!

Hi, Friends! Welcome to the September Creative Inking Blog Hop!  Our theme for this month was to make an Autumn or Halloween project.  I decided to make a Halloween banner for my Dad to hang on his nursing home door.  I thought he would get a kick out of it.  I hope it makes him smile!

I'll tell ya, using the Framelits that go with this set, Howl-o-ween Treat, make life super simple!  Here is a close up of each element.

I used the set, Gorgeous Grunge, along with some Real Red Ink to make the trick or treat signs look "bloody"! I used my Tombo Multi Purpose to glue everything to the Smoky Slate Baker's Twine. Super Simple project that was a lot of fun to make without a lot of time.

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop

 

Welcome Stampers to the July edition of our Creative Inking Blog Hop!  Our theme for this month is our favorite accessory from the new Stampin' Up! 2015-2016 catalog.  This was no easy task.  How could I possibly pick just one?  There are so many to chose from!  Well, after some thinking, I decided to use washi tape, accessory #1.  I mean, why not, right?  It's colorful, you don't have to use SNAIL, it's easy to manipulate and the colors are so vibrant!  I used the Cherry on Top collection of washi.  It makes me smile just to look at it.  The colors, oh the colors!  They make me giddy!  I used my Big Shot, accessory #2, to cut out some shapes from our Framelits, accessory #3, and just laid the washi tape strips next to each other. Easy peasy!  I used dimensionals, #4, to put some space between the washi tape and the Framlit shape.  I used linen thread, #5, to make cute little bows.  Cut out the three cute words with Watermelon Wonder cardstock, #6, from Greetings Thinlets, #7, and used  Cucumber Crush cardstock, #8, to make my card base.  Lastly, I used Bermuda Bay Sequins, #9, to scatter around the card front to add some sparkle. As you can see, I used waaaaaaay more than just one accessory.

Loads of Love

Hi Stampers!  Blogging two days in a row! Yippee! Today's card is a bright and cheery one. I love this cute little wheelbarrow and sweet little flowers.  I water colored the image with Basic Gray, Real Red and Hello Honey. 

 

I used Real Red ribbon to adorn my focal point.  I used fast fuse on the back and looped the ribbon willy nilly. I love the way this came out!

Need a Shave?

Hi Stampers! Did I get your attention with my title?  I had the most fun doing a tried and true technique with shaving cream and reinkers.  I used a paper plate to place the shaving cream foam on in an even layer.  I then used my reinkers in Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi to drop some ink dribbles onto the shaving cream.  I used a wooden skewer to marbleize the colors together.  This is what I came up with

Isn't this neat? I love how vibrant the colors look.

Then I made a card

I inked the butterfly image in Bermuda Bay in the center.  Then used my Wild Wasabi ink pad and carefully inked up the rest.  I fussy cut it out and made a fussy cut mat in Going Gray to help it stand out from the busy background.  Added some Bermuda Bay sequins and Viola! Sending A Smile to My Dad!

Hey Friends!  Thought I would post the cute card I made for my Dad.  He is experiencing some health issues and has been in and out of the hospital.  I try to make him a card once a week to bring him cheer. 

I used my Aqua Painter and some reinkers to color in this cute stamp.  I hope it makes him smile!

Creative Inking Blog Hop

Welcome friends to the June 2015 Creative Inking Blog Hop!  I'm so happy you stopped by.  Isn't Amber talented?  Love her work!  Our theme for June was to pick our favorite stamp set from the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! annual catalog. That was a tough one!  I finally decided to use the stamp set named Garden in Bloom. What a fun set!  I used a technique called emboss resist.  I heat embossed the flowers with Versa Mark and white embossing powder on white cardstock.  I then used sponge daubers inked in Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride to color the background.  Then, with a clean cloth, wipe away the excess ink on the embossed flowers.  The flowers just pop off the cardstock!  I hope you give this technique a try!
