Welcome friends, to the April Creative Inking Blog Hop! Our theme this month is Springing into Flowers! My favorite card to make for someone, no matter the occasion, is a card with flowers incorporated in some way. I have been doing a technique that I call "messy water coloring." I use three ink colors. In this case, I used Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango. I wet my water color paper with a paint brush making sure it is drenched with plain water. I then start to use my inkpads to place color with my brush all over the paper until it is covered.
As you can see, it's messy! It's so nice to just add color and not worry about coloring in lines! I then punched out the flowers and curled the petals up a little to add dimension. I used my paintbrush to splatter more of the colors used to add some dimension to the plain Whisper White paper. I placed the flowers on the card in a pleasing fashion. Then I added some Perfect Pearls and Wink of Stella. I stamped the sentiment and added a small layer of Basic Black paper. My card is complete!
I hope you enjoyed my project this month! Click the links below to go forward or back to see some amazing projects!
