Welcome to the third Creative Inking Blog Hop! This month's theme is Mother's Day! I am blessed to be a mom of a twenty three year old. She is a beautiful, very kind and intelligent young woman. I am also very blessed to have a great mom. She just celebrated her eighty sixth birthday. I wanted to make something that would make her smile every time she looked at it. So, I purchased a frame from Ikea and decided to decorate it. I printed out a picture of Vanessa and my mom taken on Easter Sunday. I love their smiles! My mother likes the color purple. I decided on using Wisteria Wonder and Rose Red cardstock, with a little Garden Green thrown in for good measure. I used my Big Shot and the Spiral Flower Originals Die to quickly cut out the flowers. The leaves were made using the wing on the Bird Builder Punch. I used glue dots to attach the flowers and the leaves to the frame. I finished this side of the frame off with some yummy gold satin ribbon.
I also wanted to dress up the other side of the frame. I made another Spiral Flower and punched out some "leaves" and attached everything again with glue dots. The sentiment and flowers were embossed with gold embossing powder and a Versa Mark pad on a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock. The name of the set I used is called Mother's Love. I love how this came out and it was so quick to make. I'm sure my mom will love the frame. It has her "Pookie" in it!
